Q: What if I don’t have a big kitchen or a lot of space?
A: No problem! Our chefs are used to working in all kinds of kitchens. They work efficiently and keep their setup compact so they can prepare amazing meals without taking over your entire space. We recommend ordering a number of meals that you can confidently fit in your fridge. We can always come back and cook more!
Q: Can I order just once, or do I have to commit to a subscription?
A: You can absolutely start with a one-time order. Many of our clients book just to give it a try. If it works for you, we are happy to cook for you again. No commitment, no pressure. We strive to make a stress-free experience that is memorable in the most delicious way.
Q: What if I want a rotating menu?
A: We can curate weekly rotating menus tailored your households preferences and dietary needs. Simply tell us what you like and we can create custom rotating menus from our current selection or vault menus. You don't even have to think about what to eat for the week- let us make your favorites.
Q: How does your service work from start to finish?
A: It’s simple! Choose your meals from the online menu and select a date for a chef to come cook. On that day, they will shop for the freshest ingredients, come to your home, prepare everything from scratch, store the meals neatly in your containers, and label them with clear reheating instructions. You can also have a chef cook a hot meal for yourself and any number of guests. For parties larger than 8 please contact us to schedule with our event planner.
Q: Do you bring your own cooking equipment and ingredients?
A: Yes, all chefs bring the ingredients (freshly shopped & sourced) and any specialty tools they need. You only need to provide basic kitchen access (stove, oven, fridge, counter space). They can use your pots and pans or provide their own.
Q: How fresh are the meals, and how long will they last in my fridge?
A: Meals are prepared and stored as soon as they are cooled- unless clients specify that they would like it served hot. Meal prepped food keeps your food fresh for up to 4–5 days in the refrigerator depending on the meal. All chefs have food handlers' certificates and use proper cooling and storage methods. This ensures you can enjoy your food at peak flavor and freshness. It is always recommended eating the meals that might not keep as long (such as a salad) first, that way everything is consumed at peak freshness, and you get the best experience.
Q: Can you work around dietary restrictions or food allergies?
A: Absolutely. During your free consultation, let us know your needs. When you order -whether it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, low-sodium, or any allergy concerns - and we will customize recipes so you can enjoy delicious food without worry.
Q: Can you change any meals to work around dietary restrictions or food allergies?
A: Sure! With a few exceptions, most meals on the menu can me modified to fit any diet. We can work together to create a meal plan that works best for your needs. Dietary restrictions are our specialty.
Q: Do you clean up after cooking?
A: Yes, 100%. Any dishes we used in prep will be washed and all surfaces will be wiped and sanitized. We do ask that your kitchen is ready for our chefs to start cooking in as soon as they get there.
Q: How much time will you spend in my home?
A: It depends on your order size, but most cooking sessions take between 2–4 hours from the time our chefs arrive. Our chefs efficient so you can go about your day while they work.
Q: Do I need to be home while you cook?
A: Yes, we require that you be home on the date specified for our chefs to come prepare your meals.
Q: Do I need to put my pets away while you cook?
A: Yes, we require that you please keep your adorable pets out of the kitchen while our chefs are preparing your food. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
Q: Do I need to stay out of the kitchen while you cook?
A: Yes and no, it's your house. Our chefs never mind an audience or the occasional question but please give them some space so that they can provide you with the best experience possible.
Q: How do I know how to heat my meals, so they taste fresh?
A: Each meal comes with clear easy-to-follow heating instructions. They can be printed, emailed, taped to the containers- however works best for you. We want to set you up for success and happiness. Communication is key, just let us know what works best for you! No guesswork - just warm, serve, and enjoy.
